Cookie Policy

Last updated:

This Cookie Policy explains how Future & Facts uses cookies and similar technologies. In short: ordinary visitors do not receive tracking or advertising cookies from us.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. “Local storage” is a similar technology that lets a website remember a setting in your browser. They can be used to remember preferences, keep you logged in, or — on many websites — to track visitors for analytics or advertising.

What we use today

Name Type Who gets it Purpose How long
faf-theme Local storage (in your browser) Visitors who use the light/dark switch Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. It is never sent to our server. Until you clear your browser data

_lscache_vary Essential cookie Site administrators only Makes sure logged-in administrators see uncached pages. Session

We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies or social media tracking cookies at the moment.

Embedded content

If an article includes content from another website (for example a video), that website may set its own cookies when the content loads or when you interact with it. Those cookies are controlled by the other website.

Future changes

If we add analytics or advertising in the future (for example Google AdSense), those services use cookies. Before that happens, we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent with a clear cookie banner, so you can accept or refuse non-essential cookies.

How to control cookies

You can delete cookies and local storage, or block them, in your browser settings. Blocking our local storage only means the site will not remember your light/dark choice.
